Troubleshooting
AirKey is a high-quality, comprehensively tested, electronic locking system. However,
should you encounter an error or problems, this section will provide support to rectify the
fault.
14.1
No communication within the system
Proceed as follows if you are unable to register the smartphone or cannot update AirKey
components:
>
Make sure you have an Internet connection available on the smartphone (WLAN or
mobile data) and (if applicable) activate it.
>
Check whether port 7070 is disabled in your IT infrastructure. This port is required for
communication within the AirKey system and must be enabled.
14.2
Locking component has trouble identifying or is unable
to detect media
Proceed as follows if it is harder than normal or impossible to identify certain media at
locking components:
>
Ensure you keep the medium still during identification at the reader and wait until the
green signal appears on the locking component.
>
If the component does not react correctly, make sure the medium is positioned cor-
rectly. For instance the combi key must be held against the locking component with
the side showing the RFID icon.
>
If this is unsuccessful, wait 50 seconds without identifying yourself to allow the lock-
ing component to recalibrate the field. You can also manually recalibrate the field by
holding a metal object to the reader.
