Switching HART write protection on/off

A DIP switch on the amplifier board provides the means of activating or deactivating the HART
write protection. When the HART write protection is active, it is not possible to change the
parameters via the HART protocol.

Unscrew the cover of the electronics compartment from the transmitter housing.

Remove the display module (a) from the retaining rails (b) and refit onto right retaining rail with
the left side (this secures the display module).

Fold up the plastic cover (c).

Set the DIP switch to the desired position.

Note!

The current status of the HART write protection is displayed in the WRITE PROTECTION
function (see Page 94).

Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure.
