diameter must be used for the blocking not. Atten-
tion: All ends must be secured with a double English
knot (grapevine knot). At least 12 cm rope must
remain behind the knot. The knots and the rope ends
must be checked regularly during use.
10
Do not use textile elements for tie-in to the rope
bridge. For tie-in exclusively use metal connectors/
elements to EN 362 or EN 354 with a minimum
diameter of 10 mm.
11
Before initial use adjust the fit and size performing a
hang-in test in a safe location. When adjusted cor-
rectly the harness must not cause any hindering of
motion or breathing and/or pain. The harness must
not impair the motion range required for the type of
application. Use a sit board if prolonged work is to be
supported by the harness. If only a hip harness is
used, the climber may potentially turn over back-
wards.
12
Textile components must be checked for possible
damage before every use. If replaceable parts such
as the rope bridge, the SRT bridge, or the front con-
nection between the thigh loop and the hip harness
(D) are affected, the respective components can be
replaced. If other components are affected, the
product must be removed from use.
13
Harnesses may be cleansed with hand-warm water
and mild soap. Upon washing, rinse the harness in
clear water. Standard disinfectants may be used, if
needed. Harnesses may be used at temperatures
ranging from -20° C to +55° C. Harnesses must not
be washed in a washing machine. Harnesses must
not be dried in sunlight. Harnesses must not be dried
on radiators or comparable heat sources.
Harnesses should be stored, transported and dried in
cool, dry surroundings, and must be protected from di-
rect UV light. To ensure this, use a protective bag or
special storage and transport containers.
The load bearing structure of the harness
- may not come in contact with acids, e. g. battery acid,
aggressive substances or other chemicals
- icing may reduce the loading strength
- must not be marked in any way
- must be protected from abrasion or sharp edges
system and should therefore not be used if there is a
foreseeable risk of hanging in the harness or of being
subjected to unintented strain. The need for a fall arrest
system must be considered in each case. Keep the lan-
yard for a positioning harness well tensioned; the attach-
ment point must be on one level with the hip or higher
and the free fall distance must be limited to max. 0.5 m.
Hanging motionlessly in the harness may cause severe
injury and even death (suspension trauma).
Materials used: polyamide, polyester, aluminium, steel.
Ropes to be used for rope bridges: EN 1891, Ø ≥ 10.5 mm
1
Operation of buckle types. Correct adjustment of
the respective buckles on the product must be
checked regularly during use of the product.
