presented below:
In addition, Servers (server address and port) and Access Point Parameters (APN,
user ID, user password) must be defined for each profile - see section 9.1.2 Servers.
These parameters can be the same or different.
Depending on the inserted SIM card of a given operator, the device selects either
default values (if no profile is defined or the device does not recognize the profile) or
the corresponding parameters defined for a given profile - operator identification
parameters (MCC, MNC), server communication parameters (server address and port)
and access point parameters (APN, user ID and User Password).
9.1.2.
Servers
In this section, define parameters for the base and for backup server, if used. If
Backup server
option is selected, additional parameters will be displayed and options
for backup server settings and rules for cooperation with the main server.
Server Address
It is the IP address of the monitoring system receiver (OSM.Server) or a computer
which has the “Communication Server” software installed, e.g. 89.123.115.8. The
address can be specified as a domain name of the server.
Server port
Specifies the server port assigned to receive data from the device.
APN
This parameter depends on the LTE/UMTS network operator whose LTE/HSPA+
services you are going to use. It specifies the name of the access point to the
LTE/HSPA+ network. It is possible to get a private access point. In this case, the
name of the access point will be provided by your UMTS/LTE network operator.
NOTE: The use of a private APN improves the system security.
User ID
It is usually not required with public APNs. If you have a private APN, you should ask
your provider for this parameter (you will need it to access the LTE/HSPA+ network).
