Setup
After all power and control connections have been made and you have read and understood the
different operating modes and protection features of the soft starter, set the Operations and
Protection parameters for your application. In many cases, only the
Motor FLA
parameter requires
adjustment to the proper value, and all other parameters may be used with the default values for
the initial
Start
. Review the Advanced Protection options of the S611 shown in
Appendix B—
Protection
and select the appropriate ones for your application.
Initial Configuration
1.
The S611 Operation and Protection parameters may be edited using only 120 Vac control
power applied to 120 Vac Supply (TB1). Mains power is not required to edit and save
Operation and/or Protection parameters.
If any 120 Vac power source other than the normal system control power source is used to
power the control circuit to edit parameters, connections must be made in compliance with all
local, state, and national electrical codes.
2.
In the Operation mode, set the operating parameters to the desired values. These settings
assume the motor has a 1.15 service factor.
