Switching off

Switching off the cable panel and branch-circuit

panel

ARNING

Refer to the safety instructions in paragraph 4.1.2.

Procedure for switch caps

1. Place the springing handle on the switch cap.

2. Pull the handle firmly.



The switch cap disengages from the fixed part.

Place a clean, dry cover on the open cast resin

insulated member of the switch.

If (maintenance) work is scheduled to be performed,

the installation must have protective earthing.

Switching off a protected panel

Procedure for protected panel

If the relay has switched off the protected panel:



the electronic trip indicator (9) will show a red field;



the mechanical position indicator (5) will show a

white field.

Verify this.

If the position indicator (5) shows a black field, press

the button (6) The vacuum circuit-breaker will then

switch off.

Remove the corresponding switch caps (12) one by

one in line with the above procedure.

If (maintenance) work is scheduled to be performed,

the installation must have protective earthing.

If you are about to carry out measurements, switch on

the vacuum circuit-breaker in line with the above
procedure “Switching on for maintenance work” and

then lock it to prevent switching off, using the relevant

key-operated earthing interlock locking knob.
