3.4.10 Fixing the earth strip
1. Fix the earth strip (l) to the frame (a) using the
fastening materials supplied.

3.4.11 Fitting the dust cap
1. Fit the dust cap between the side plates.
3.4.12 Fitting the C-section in lower station
(systems with Protected panel only)

After connecting the cables (Chapter 9), fit C-section
(p) to the wall or floor of the substation at the same
height as the wall frame C-section (c).
2.
Fit the cable support section (r) to the underside of the
C-section (p).
3. Secure the cables firmly in the cable clamps (s).

3.4.13 Checks
1. Check the connections made. This is to ensure a
perfect earth connection.
3.4.14 Spare panels
If the switchgear contains spare panels, fit them with
covers and unfilled cable boxes.
Remark
The cable boxes must not be sealed airtight at the
bottom.
