6. Turn the sealing plugs inside out.
7. Using a pair of sharp scissors, carefully cut a hole in
the conical part of the sealing plugs without making
any notches. The diameter of this hole should be half
the diameter of the core insulation.
8. Restore the sealing plugs to their normal shape.
9. Slide the conduits up the cores.
Slide any protective cover/covers to be fitted onto the
insulating conduits.

10. Lightly grease the cast resin insulation using silicone
grease or acid-free Vaseline.
11. Fit the connecting pieces (1) to the connection pins
using one of the washers (2A).
12. Tighten the hexagon socket head screws
(torque 15 Nm (11 lbf)).
Ensure that the screws are fitted in the same direction
angled forward for all three phases.
13. Slide the other washers (2B) as far as possible on to
the connecting pieces and fit the hexagon socket head
screws finger-tight for the time being.
14. Shorten the cable cores so that all three of them fit into
the recesses in the connecting pieces.

15. Position the cable cores in the recesses in the
connecting pieces. Fit the glands (3) onto the core
ends in the recesses in the connecting pieces and
slide the lower washers along the glands.
16. Tighten the hexagon socket head screws
(torque 15 Nm (11 lbf)).
Ensure that the hexagon socket head screws are fitted
in the same direction angled forward (approx. 45°) for
all three phases.

OTE
Re-tighten the cable core clamp hexagon socket
head screws after a time.
