Automa c Control:
Adjustment of the Integrated Control Valve’s posi on so that the Process
Value is equal to the Set Point Value. Output of this opera on is referred to as “Auto
Out”.
An
‐
Binding Func on:
A programmed algorithm which will try to free the ICV if the controls
system detects that valve is stuck. The valve will a empt to free itself
fi
ve mes by
transferring to a "maximum impulse" condi on. A er the 5th a empt, if the valve
remains stuck, it will go into rest mode for 3 minutes in which the valve will con nue
moving, but at a reduced power in order to prevent overhea ng. The valve will cycle
every 3 minutes through this same process in an a empt to reach its target value.
Changing the target value will reset the algorithm.
Control Mode:
Mode of control. Either Auto or Manual.
Control Out:
The resultant output of either Manual or Automa c Control. It is usually repre
‐
sented as a percentage of Electronic Full Scale.. It is the value sent to the
fi
nal control
device.
Control Type:
Determines how the control output is sent to the
fi
nal control device: Linear
Propor onal, Bifurca ng Time Propor oning, Scalable Time Propor oning.
Dynamic Calibra on:
Se ng that adjusts the Calibra on of the Electronics so that 100% Out
‐
put is equal to the Electronic Full Scale Flow Rate (Mass). This number ranges from a
minimum of 4 to a maximum of 10.
Electronic Full Scale Flow Rate (Mass):
Flow Rate that Electronics is calibrated at such that the
Electronics output is 100%.
Extended Sta c Calibra on:
This is a non
‐
standard se ng of the Sta c Calibra on that will
electronically range the Transducer up to 2 mes the standard Transducer Value. The
Range se ng for this is 0.75 Volts.
Inhibit Threshold:
Voltage level that is adjusted to allow Electronics not to measure product
that might be present only at certain periods. An example of this would be at start up
when there might be product dribbling onto meter. This Voltage would represent a
percent of the 100% output of the Electronics. That is, if the 100% output represented
an Electronic Full Scale Flow Rate of 300 lb./min, then an Inhibit Threshold se ng of
2% of the Electronic Full Scale Flow Rate would be 6 lb./min.
