DISPLAY Sub-Menu Items on the Screen – Right Side:
4.7.6
IRC
Switching ON / OFF the incremental sensor (encoder) function.
With IRC ON and encoder connected to the MULTI connector (see 1.7 and 2.1), a
diagnostic “squares” will appear, showing actual state of A/B and C inputs as well as
IRC=xx status for simple calibration:
-
run with encoder some length (e.g. 1 m),
-
read the IRC value, i.e. number of pulses,
-
set the IRC RES value (in increments/meter) as “IRC_value”/“length”.
NOTE: The appropriate encoder (IRC) type shall be set in the Help menu
–
see 3.10 – MULTI MODE as follows:
-
IRC A & C – for encoder without direction resolution;
-
IRC A,B & C – for encoder with direction resolution.
Input C is used for encoder resetting (to zero), if the encored is equipped with
additional switch.
4.7.7
IRC RES
Setting the incremental sensor resolution per unit of length.
4.7.8
IRC RATE
Setting the incremental sensor divider rate – 1 to 10 (or negative) enabling the
BSCAN display scale and direction setting.
4.7.9
PROBE BEAM
Switching ON / OFF the probe beam divergence shape on the screen, depending on
the probe parameters set in the
PROBE
sub-menu – see 4.9. PROBE Sub-Menu
(SETTING).
4.7.10 ENVELOPE
Switching ON / OFF the envelope. Applying the envelope to the processed signal
(the red indicator
*ENV*
appears below the A-Scan window).
NOTE: This function is the same as that one set in the Basic menu by cyclic
depressing RF/FW* key – see 4.1. Basic Menu.
