Buffer Size in K
This option configures the amount of memory allocated for the Dataproducts
port buffer. The default is 8 Kbyte, but you may specify between 1 and 16
Kbytes, in 1–Kbyte increments.
Bidirectional (1284–IEEE Parallel) Options
The 1284 IEEE interface is faster and more versatile than Centronics and
supports bidirectional communication. Chapter 5 discusses the available
modes (Compatibility, Nibble, and Byte) in more detail. Configuration of this
interface is configured and controlled from the host.
