5 Cleaning, maintenance and validation
5.1 Check & Clean process

Check the attachment of the adapters to the lid by pulling each
adapter slightly.

If an adapter is loose, tighten the screws with the 1.5 mm Allen key
included with the unit.

Repeat for all available Blue lids and Green lids.

5.1.16

Check O-rings on the adapters

Frequency: Weekly or every 50 cycles (whichever comes first).

Procedure

The DAC Universal is switched on and is in the Check & Clean
process menu.

All available adapters are ready.

Go a step further in this Check & Clean option by pressing the
"

Navigate to next step" function key.

Check the O-rings on the adapters.

Repeat for all available adapters.

WARNING

Risk of contamination!

At approx. 10 cycles per day, the O-rings need to be replaced every 3
months. If an adapter O-ring is damaged or missing, replace it, see
"Change the O-rings on the adapters [→ 100]".

WARNING

Risk of contamination!

If the O-rings are damaged or are missing, the reprocessing cycle
cannot be guaranteed. Cross-contamination may occur.

For further information about the adapters and the corresponding O-
rings, please see the separate operating instructions for adapters.

5.1.17

Change the O-rings on the adapters

Frequency: Every 3 months or every 600 cycles (whichever comes
first).

The DAC Universal is switched on and is in the Check & Clean
process menu.

All available adapters are ready.

Go a step further in this Check & Clean option by pressing the
"

Navigate to next step" function key.

Check the O-rings on the adapters.

Remove the O-rings from the adapter using a dental probe or other
instrument.

Slide the new O-rings into the notches on the adapter.
