Repointing a VMware vCenter to a PSC is possible only under the following conditions:

•

Two separate VMware vSphere 6.0 environments have been configured using the same SSO
domain name and site name.

•

The VMware vCenter that you want to repoint is a replication partner of the existing PSC in the
first VMware vSphere environment.

Deploy inter Converged System PSCs in a ring topology, whether they are located in the same physical
data centers or across multiple physical data centers.

•

VMware ELM dependencies and limitations

All PSCs and VMware vCenter servers participating in an ELM configuration must run software the same
build number.

Ensure that your configuration meets the following requirements:

•

RCMs must be compatible between Converged Systems. VMware vSphere 6.0 PSCs and
VMware vCenter servers must run the same build version.

•

Redundant AMP must be scaled out to support multiple VCs per Converged System.

•

IP MTU sizes must be consistent between Converged Systems.

•

Each Converged System requires a pair of PSCs.

Although ELM enables the use of PSC, Vision software does not support it. Vision software will continue
to collect data from the vCenters directly.
