9.1 CLU BASIC | ONLINE | CHARGE CONTROLLER
Installing an online CLU Basic without energy meters requires only a single bus. The
wires between the USB interface and the bus cable must be joined in a terminal block
connector, preferably WAGO.
Energy meter data requires double buses (see 9.2).
If a payment solution is provided, note that only pay per minute the vehicle is connected or
pay per transaction is possible.

When connecting all devices to the network, connect the A wire (from the upstream device)
into the A connector labeled BUS IN and connect the A wire (for the downstream device)
into the A connector labeled BUS OUT. Repeat this procedure with the A, B and M wires
throughout the facility as shown in the figures below.
NB! The total length of the communication cable should not exceed 150m. If the length of the
cable exceeds this, reconsider the chosen cabling pattern and/or consider moving the CLU
closer to the charging stations.
