13. Installing the CLU
NB! Make sure the CLU is powered off during the installation.
CLU BASIC
• Mount the CLU (4.5 modules) on to a DIN rail.
• Mount the 5V DC LVPS (1module) on a DIN rail.
• Connect the 5V DC cable between the LVPS and the CLU.

Connect ethernet cable to the CLU device (for more information about network
connection, see chapter 14).
To complete the installation, go to section “CLU Basic and CLU COM”.

CLU COM
To install the CLU COM, first complete the steps described in previous section “CLU Basic”.
• Mount the modem (3.5 modules) on to a DIN rail.
• Mount the 12V DC power supply (1 module) on to a DIN rail.
• Install the antenna in an appropriate place.
NB! The antenna requires reception of sufficient quality to function as intended. Check the
reception at the location before installing the CLU COM. The CLU operates with GPRS/2G-4G.
• Connect the cable between the modem (RJ12) and the 12V DC LVPS.
• Connect the USB - Mini USB cable between the CLU and the modem.
• Connect the antenna to the modem.
To complete the installation, go to section “CLU Basic and CLU COM”
CLU BASIC AND CLU COM
• Route the communication cables away from line-voltage elements. Do not route the CLU
cables in parallel with supply lines.
• Configure the charging station and connect the USB interface(s) to any of the USB ports
on the CLU.
NB! Do not connect/disconnect a USB interface from a powered CLU. This may lead to damage
of equipment.
• Power the CLU by connecting the 5V DC LVPS to 230V AC.
Warning! Check connections before powering!
If connected correctly, both red and green LED status indicator on the USB interface
connected to the CLU will flash rapidly after approximately 120 seconds. If none or only one
of the LED indicators are flashing, see the chapter for troubleshooting.
