Rescaler
The Rescaler lets you change the frequ ency of a p eriod ic inp u t signal. You can u se the Rescaler to
m u ltip ly the p eriod by u p to 4096 or d ivid e it by u p to 4095.
Figure 61: Granularity
The Rescaler is d efined by the follow ing settings:
Granularity
The granu larity is the nu m ber of clock cycles d u ring w hich the rescaler checks for activity on its inp u t.
The valu e to u se d ep end s on the p eriod / frequ ency of the inp u t signal. If a frequ ency lies betw een tw o
d ifferent granu larity settings, the low est setting w ill yield a better p recision. The p ossible valu es are:

The ―Min. Frequency‖ is a fixed minimu m, otherwise the incoming signal period counter gets
satu rated (reach the m axim u m cou nt).
The ―Max. Freq.‖ is a recommend ed maxim um to get Error less than 1%.
Multiplicator
The m u ltip lier ap p lied to the inp u t frequ ency. The p ossible valu es are:
Frequ ency is m u ltip lied by 256 (PLC_rsI0_Mu ltip lier = Frequ encyX256)
Frequ ency is m u ltip lied by 16 (PLC_rsI0_Mu ltip lier = Frequ encyX16)
Frequ ency is m u ltip lied by 4096 (PLC_rsI0_Mu ltip lier = Frequ encyX4096)
