3.15 Installing DIMMs

Exercise extreme care when installing or removing DIMM modules to prevent any
possible damage.

1.
Power down the appliance. "Powering Down an Appliance " on page 39.
2.
Ensure the AC power cable is disconnected.
3.
Unfasten and remove the appliance from the rack.
4. Remove the cover from the appliance. "Removing the Appliance Cover " on page 62
5. Locate the DIMM slots.See Figure 3 - 54: - DIMM Slot Diagram .

Unlatch the DIMM module hold-down clamps and extract the DIMM from the slot.
