2.7 Component Checklist
BT1 Security Appliance ships with a main board and components already installed in the enclosure.
Memory and hard disks can be accessed by a properly trained support technician. The system
should be ready to power up and run the boot loader , if your configuration customization did not
include an OS.
2.8 Processor
The BT1 Security Appliance supports a high performance Freescale P4080 1.5 GHz 1295-pin FPGA
processor. The processor is not replaceable.
This processor provides performance and power to meet a broad spectrum of high-performance
applications. It combines eight Power Architecture
®
e500 mc cores operating at 1.5 GHz. A high-
performance data path acceleration logic and network, and peripheral bus interfaces designed for
