1 About this Manual
This user guide covers the BT1, a security appliance. This is a compact self-contained appliance that
connects into a pre-cabled enclosure that provides power, cooling, management and networking
functions.
In this manual, security appliance refers to the entire system. Enclosure or chassis is the chassis in
which the main board and its components are housed.
1.1 Overview
This manual is written for professional system integrators, Information Technology professionals,
service personnel and technicians. It provides information for the installation and use of the Cyphre
Security Solutions, LLC (CSS), a RigNet subsidary. BT1. Installation and maintenance should be
performed by experienced professionals. Though we encourage you to be as familiar with the
functionality and components of the BT1, our intent is to have a serviceable replacement available
for you if in the unlikely event a BT1 fails or operates below expected measures.
