Saving a New Clip
If one of your patterns has an instrument rhythm that you want to save
as a new Clip so you can use it later, follow these steps:
1. Switch to Pattern Write mode. Stop the sequencer then select a
the pattern to use as the source of a Clip.
2. Press
[START/STOP]
to start the sequencer.
3. Set the
Track/Instrument
switch to the instrument you want to
save to a Clip.
4. Press
[FUNC]
+
[CLIPS]
to enter the Clips menu.
5. Press and hold a slot's
[#]
button for two seconds to save the
new Clip to that slot. The button will change to bright red to
indicate that the new Clip was saved.
Notes about Clips
Here are some other things to know about working with Clips:
Clips may be any length up to 64 steps, but the number of steps
that are inserted into a pattern is determined by the destination
pattern's length.
If multiple patterns are currently selected, with the sequencer
cycling through those patterns, then entering the Clips menu will
cause the sequencer to stay at the current pattern until you exit
the Clips menu.
With the TT-78 Beat Bot, a Clip will include step information for
both A and B instruments on the
Track/Instrument
switch
where applicable (such as the CL/CB position).
