There are actually nine Cycle Lengths available for each Nuance
Shape. The additional four Cycle Lengths can be selected by pressing
two adjacent
[#]
buttons of the same color. Additionally, the fastest
Nuance speeds (5, 10, 15) sound best when applied to patterns that
include roll steps or a triplet time scale.
Nuance Depth
After selecting a shape, set the depth of the Nuance effect for the
current instrument. The depth is set using the Tone knob while in the
Nuance menu. The position of the Tone knob will dictate both the depth
of the Nuance shape
and
its phase (that's whether the shape begins in
the positive or negative direction). Setting the Tone knob to the middle
(50%) position effectively yields a Nuance depth of zero.
