Connect the Aeroquip fittings until a positive stop is felt. The external reservoirs are
identical and therefore, interchangeable. A dry Teflon spray lubricant is
recommended, See Figure 6-3.

6.2 Compressor installation

CAUTION

Failure to follow these installation guidelines could result in voiding the warranty.

Prepare the helium compressor package location



Confirm that the physical space containing the helium compressor package packages has
an ambient temperature range of 45 °F to 100



F (7 °C to 38



C).



Place the helium compressor packages in a level position. For the helium compressor
package to operate under optimal conditions, it must be oriented within 5



of being level.

WARNING

The helium compressor package must be positioned to provide easy access to the front panel mounted
circuit breaker.



Locate the helium compressor package so that it may be easily repositioned to allow for
sufficient space change the adsorber. If the helium compressor package cannot be easily
repositioned, leave approximately two feet (0.6 m) clearance above, to the left and right
of each of them.



In addition to the above requirements, CP100 series air cooled models require two feet
(0.6 m) of clearance on each side of the unit to ensure proper air flow. CPA2800 series
air cooled models require two feet (0.6 m) of clearance around all four sides and three
feet (1 m) of clearance above for proper air flow.
