The Quantum Mist Smart Sprayers can be fitted with the
Croplands (Patent Pending) Recapture System to reduce
drift & capture / return “over spray” back to tank.
• 2-row full Recapture (inner & outer).
• 3-row with inner screens only.
• Double skinned screen filters out the majority of trash.
The front screen is a specially woven cloth held to the
frames by stainless steel battens plus Velcro. The rear
screen is either a UV stabilised polyester cloth or black
polyethylene attached to the frame. Deep stainless-steel
troughs with fork fitting suction points.
• Simple design using venturi suction & inline filtration.
• Modular design for easy removal.
• Sprayer can be converted back to a “normal” 2-row
sprayer in approximately 1 hour.

How it works
The fan over-spray is collected in the screen positioned
opposite, with the spray penetrating the porous front
screen, hitting the solid back screen and falling to the
capture trough below. Much of the overspray that tries to
billow upwards is contained by the awning (nicknamed the
bus stop) and is very effective at reducing drift.
Spray captured in the trough is sucked back to tank via a
venturi system.
Pump & Venturi
Recapture systems will be equipped with a larger pump,
often the AR250, as each venturi will require around 18 L/
min at 10 bar.
AR185 is shown in the picture.
The venturi (one for each recapture screen) are activated
by turning on the valve at the front of the sprayer.

At the same time, it is necessary to turn off the agitators
(see yellow circles)
. Leaving the agitators on will lead
to excessive foaming.
In some applications, especially when using all 4 tap
venturi, the use of an anti-foaming agent may be required.
At the rear of the sprayers is a manifold with up to 4 tap
valves to each Recapture screen. The valves mirror the
sprayer layout, left tap activates the left boom side screen
etc. Same for the venturi, the
