Operating Modes and Communications
The table below shows which wireless terminals can communicate
with each other depending on the operating mode of the AP and
user unit.

1. UU stands for “user unit”.
2. AP
⇔
UU indicates communications between a unit type AP and
user unit.
3. ST indicates an “AP managed by (logged in to) another AP”
which operates in the same way as a user unit. See Chapter 6
for details of the setup procedure.
4. When an AP is used in simple mode, the unit type is fixed as ST.
