4. Programming an access code for the settings
All of the ‘FAZ 3000-Z’ alarm base station’s settings can be locked using a 4-digit access code
(menus are accessed using the ‘
Menü a/A
’ button), so that the settings cannot be changed by
any unauthorised person.
This access code is then requested before access to the menus is granted.
See the figure on the right. Access to the menus is only possible after the
correct code has been entered. Make a note of the code and keep it in a
safe place.
You can deactivate the access code by entering ‘0000’ as the code.
The access code is programmed as follows:
• You must be on the main level. The LCD should appear as on the right,
for example, with the time and the date.
• Briefly press the ‘
Menü a/A
’ button on the control unit of the ‘FAZ 3000-
Z’ alarm base station.
• Use the ‘ ’ and ‘ ’ buttons to select the ‘

• Confirm your selection by briefly pressing the ‘

’ menu using the ‘ ’ and ‘ ’ buttons (‘code
for access to the settings/menus’).
• Confirm your selection by briefly pressing the ‘
OK
’ button.
• You can now use the number buttons to enter any four-digit code, for
example ‘1234’ or ‘9876’ and so on.
You can use the ‘
C
’ button to correct any incorrect entry you have
made.
If you want to switch off the access code (no code request
before menus are accessed), enter ‘0000’ as the code.
• Pressing the ‘
OK
’ button applies the setting.
• Exit the menu by pressing the ‘
C
’ button twice. This returns you to the
normal display mode (main level).
