After attaching the target, cover with the white calibration
target and close down the lid.
Make sure the dotted line
of the target is central and
straight along the scan line
under the glass.
Make sure the whole target
is central to the scan glass
width, so the ends of the
lines are the same distance
from the paper hold down
bearing at either end.
