Replacing Scanner Components
6.1
Replacing Lamps.
1.
Remove the glass as described in chapter 5.6 "Removing
Scan Glass" page 15.
2.
Remove 4 x M4 black pan head screw holding the cover over
both ends of the lamps, and remove covers at both ends,
storing them safely to prevent damage until re-fitting.
3.
Using a 1mm or 1.5mm Allen key between the 2 pins of the
tube, rotate the lamp around so the pins are aligned vertically.
The tube will 'click' as it turns. If there is no room for the Allen
key to fit, using pliers gentle will turn the tube, but make sure
the tube is not damaged during this removal.
