SmartLF Gx Service Manual

Introduction

1.1 Models covered by this manual

This manual contains information to assist in the repair and maintenance of the SmartLF Gx

scanners from Colortrac.

It acts as a reference to service engineers who are approved by Colortrac.

There are 12 models consisting of two types:

Standard lid (Gx)

Raising lid (GxT):

SmartLF Gx25m & GxT25m

Monochrome

Scan width of 25". Optical resolution of 1200 x 600dpi. Mono and Greyscale scanning only.

SmartLF Gx25c & GxT25c

Colour

Scan width of 25". Optical resolution of 1200 x 600dpi. RGB (24-bit and 48-bit captured),

Mono and Greyscale scanning at reduced speed.

SmartLF Gx25e & GxT25e

Enhanced

Scan width of 25". Optical resolution of 1200 x 600dpi. RGB (24-bit and 48-bit captured),

Mono and Greyscale scanning with enhanced speed.

SmartLF Gx42m & GxT42m

Monochrome

Scan width of 42". Optical resolution of 1200 x 600dpi. Mono and Greyscale scanning only.

SmartLF Gx42c & GxT42c

This manual shows how to replace the boards that make up the SmartLF Gx range of

scanners. The GxT42e scanner was used for photos, and is representative of all the scanner

models, so images and component quantities may vary slightly for each model.
