Front Halfshaft Installation

FRONT DIFFERENTIAL AND HALFSHAFTS

NOTE:

Apply a small amount of anti-seize compound to the halfshaft splines before it is installed.

2.

Tighten the axle nut to 142 ft-lb (193 N·m) and then stake the nut to the groove in the halfshaft.

3.

Install wheel and lower vehicle.

See Wheel Installation, Section 8, Page 8-2.

4.

Connect battery and spark plug wire(s).

See Connecting the Battery – Gasoline Vehicles on page 1-4.
