Checking the frame grabber image acquisition with the 3DPIXA dual camera
For correct 3D calculation with a 3DPIXA dual camera, the image capture between the master
and the slave camera must be synchronized. In addition, the frame grabber acquisition must
also be synchronized. This is ensured by the generated FVAL of the 3DPIXA camera.
The correct image capture of the frame grabber can be checked with the use of the first line
info block in the images.
The frame grabber must be configured in such a way that it uses the FVAL when
capturing images.
1. In the
Camera Settings
select
Output format
in the
Image parameter
folder.

2. Activate
First Line Info block
in the CST for the master and for the slave camera.
If the synchronization is correct, the first line info block is visible in the first line of the
master image and the slave image. The beginning of the first line info block is in the upper
left corner of the image.

If the first line info blocks are not in the first line or if they are shifted to each other,
check the frame grabber settings.
If the beginnings of the first line info blocks are not in the upper left corner, check the
settings of the readout direction of the frame grabber.
