Remove the black plastic cap which covers
the inner and outer band retaining screws
(Figure
7-
80).
Remove the outer band retaining screw
(Figure
7-
81). Be careful not to remove
the inner band screw which is right next
to the end cap.
CAUTION
Make sure all tools used
are clean. Dirt or debris
contaminating the inside of
the air cylinder can damage
or ruin it.
Be careful not to bend the
rodless air cylinder outer
band back too far. If the
band becomes creased or
deformed, it must
be replaced.
Hold back the outer band (Figure
7-
82, A).
Be careful not to pull it back too far.
Use a clean Allen wrench or similar tool
to gently press against the inner band
(Figure
7-
82, B). There should be very
little flexing.
