Air Cylinder Air Flow Adjustment

Air cylinders should open and close smoothly

and without banging; paired air cylinders should

open and close together.

Adjusting the exhaust air ﬂow valves when

necessary helps keep the unit operating smoothly,

quietly and efﬁciently.

The following general procedure covers these

air cylinders:

Front ByPass Conveyor (Figure 7-60)

Adjust both the left and right bypass

conveyor air cylinders to smoothly and

evenly raise and lower the front bypass

ribbon conveyor.

Feed Table (7-61)

Adjust the air ﬂow to smoothly but

quickly move the feed tables out of the

way when the front bypass conveyor is

raised.

Inlet Transfer Rodless (Figure 7-62)

Adjust the air ﬂow to smoothly but

quickly move the transfer clamps

forward and backward.
