PERFORMANCE
TAKEOFF DISTANCES
With the bleed air heater on, the takeoff distances presented in Section 5
will increase by approximately 25%.
RATE-OF-CLIMB
With the bleed air heater on, the rate-of-climb presented in Section 5 will
decrease by approximately 250 FPM.
CRUISE PERFORMANCE
Using the power settings given in the PERFORMANCE Section, with the
bleed air heater in operation, fuel usage for a given power setting will
increase approximately 5% due to the loss of efficiency from the
compressor.

AIRPLANE & SYSTEMS DESCRIPTION
CABIN HEATING, VENTILATING & DEFROSTING SYSTEM
The bleed air cabin heater will assist the exhaust heat exchanger by
adding hot compressor discharge air and fresh air inlet air through an
infuser located between the exhaust heat exchanger outlet and the
Cessna firewall heater valve. With the cabin heat control knob open,
additional cabin heating will be attainable by rotating the bleed air heat
control knob for the amount of heat desired.

HANDLING, SERVICE & MAINTENANCE
There is no change to the airplane handling, service and maintenance
procedures when the bleed air cabin heater is installed.
