SECTION 3

EMERGENCY PROCEDURES

ENGINE RESTART PROCEDURE DURING FLIGHT

The bleed air heater must be turned off before attempting an in-flight

restart.

DISCHARGE AIR CONTAMINATION

If there is any sign of contamination of the bleed air such as oil or oil

vapor odor, turn off the bleed air heater valve and land as soon as

practical.

SECTION 4

NORMAL PROCEDURES

BEFORE STARTING

Turn the bleed air heater off.

STARTING

The bleed air heater may be turned on as desired after engine start for

cabin heating before takeoff.

BEFORE TAKEOFF

The bleed air heater should be turned off before takeoff for maximum

engine performance. After the aircraft is clear of all obstacles, the bleed

air heater system may be turned on as desired.

SHUT DOWN

Turn off the bleed air heater before engine shutdown.
