CHAPTER 5 TROUBLESHOOTING

I. Other Function
1. Obtainment of Log Files

This is not function of the service tool.

However, the software for this machine auto-

matically collects log files of user usage sta-

tus information, and it is equipped with a func-

tion for obtainment of the log files.

Since the log files are designed to be use-

ful for resolving problems, the user may be

asked to do the operation to obtain the files.

The following gives an overview of the log

files and the procedure for recovering them.



Procedure

1) Start “Canon imageFORMULA Driver Set-

ting tool” and open [Diagnostic]

tab.

log file].

lect the appropriate location to save the

files.

4) The files are saved with [xxx.dat] attached.


