Creating a PVC

With this configuration entered and saved, the SmartSwitch 9500 will reserve VCI values 33 
through 100, with the VPI value of 0 for PVCs. PVCs may also be created with a VCI range of 
33 through 16k on VPIs greater than 0. SVCs may only be created on VPI 0 with a VCI of 101 
through 16k. This will be demonstrated in the following example.

Once these values are set, determine which interfaces will share the PVC, and the VPI/VCI 
values that will be assigned to this PVC. In this example, the PVC will be between interface 
numbers 70101 (Port 1 of ANIM 1 of the 9A656-04 installed in slot 7) and 70102 (Port 2 of 
ANIM 1 of the 9A656-04 installed in slot 7). The VPI value will be 2, and the VCI value will 
be 50.

2.26.3 Setting the Instance of the First Interface
