Basic System Configuration

Out-Of-Band, and SMB-10 IP Addresses, setting SNMP Community Names and SNMP
Traps, viewing chassis power supply information, and configuring the Environmental Module
of the SmartSwitch 9500 chassis. Upon completion of the instructions in this chapter the
SmartSwitch 9500 will be able to switch ATM traffic from its default settings; be managed via
Local Management, Telnet connections or SNMP management applications; send SNMP
traps to network management stations; and provide security to management screens through
SNMP Community Names.
