8.2.5.3 Menu: Modbus

The VC-1803/04 has two ways of communicating:

•

Modbus

Data transfer between VC-1803/04 and the PC is via LAN.

The ModbusBaudRate set to 38400 by default and should only be changed if absolutely necessary.

There are two options for Modbus communication. Each has its own TCP interface:

ModbusTCP port 1, set by default to 4571.

The selected IP addresses of the VC-1803/1804 devices must not be identical with the
IP addresses of other devices.

•

Serial (1x7x)

Serial communication allows for data transfer between VC-1803/04 and the vibration monitor via

the RS-232 connection or an RS-485 interface.

The 1x7xBaudRate should be set to 115200.
