5.4.1 VERSION WITH SHRINK DISC

Remove the protection cover A, the screws B and the spacers C.
Loosen the locking screws D gradually and sequentially, without removing them completely. Then
remove the entire shrink disc.
Thoroughly clean and degrease the mating surfaces between the gearbox output shaft and the
machine shaft.
Make sure that the internal sliding surfaces of the shrink disc are lubricated. Otherwise, apply
some solid lubricant (e.g. Klüber Molybkombin UMF T 4 or similar).
Furthermore, It is always best to apply some protective paste (e.g. Klüberpaste 46 MR 401 or
similar) to the centering of the machine shaft on the
side opposite the shrink disc (see figure 11).
NOTE
The friction surfaces between the gearbox output shaft and the machine shaft must not be
lubricated.
If some lubricant should accidentally spill over these areas, repeat all cleaning and
degreasing operations.
