3.4.1 LUBRICATION
All Bonfiglioli precision planetary gearboxes come with lifelong lubrication by synthetic oil or by
high-performance grease.
For specific information on the type of lubricant used, refer to the nameplate (figure 1 field B).
3.4.2 PERMITTED TEMPERATURE LIMITS

Minimum ambient operating temperature − 20 °C
Maximum ambient operating temperature + 60 °C
Minimum ambient storage temperature − 20 °C
Maximum ambient storage temperature + 40 °C
Surface temperature
Minimum surface temperature of the gearbox for start-up with partial load − 10 °C
Minimum surface temperature of the gearbox for start-up with full load 0 °C
Maximum surface temperature of the gearbox (measured near the fast entry
zone)
+ 90 °C

ATTENTION
Operating outside the temperature limits prescribed for the gearbox may compromise its
performance and durability.

Comply with the ambient and surface temperature limits prescribed for the gearbox.
•
In case of ambient temperatures b30 °C and + 60 °C, downgrade the rated performance
according to the calculation procedures described in the sales catalog.
NOTE
The gearbox must not be operated if the ambient temperature e 60 °C.
