3 TECHNICAL INFORMATIONS
3.1 GEARBOX IDENTIFICATION
ATTENTION
A gearbox without the nameplate cannot be operated correctly and is not covered by the
warranty.
• Do not remove the nameplate from the gearbox.
•
Ensure that the nameplate is firmly installed on the gearbox.
• If possible, arrange for the gearbox to be mounted on the machine in order to facilitate a clear
and immediate readability of the nameplate by the operators.
The nameplate is applied to the gearbox housing. It contains the references and all the
information necessary for the correct and safe use of the gearbox. To interpret the gearbox
identification code, consult the sales catalog.
A – Gearbox configuration ID
B – Lubricant identification name
C – Product code
D – Serial number
E – Angular backlash in minutes of arc
F – Reduction ratio

If the gearbox is supplied complete with an electric motor, the information regarding the motor
can be found in the corresponding manual.
3.2 GEARBOX DESCRIPTION
The gearbox is a mechanical device designed to be fitted between two shafts of a machine to
reduce the speed of the driven shaft with respect to that of the drive shaft.
The speed variation can take place through one or more reduction stages.
The arrangement of the driven shaft with respect to the drive shaft can be coaxial or orthogonal.
Coupling to different motor types can be granted through a selection of coupling flanges and
eventually a reduction bushing.
Consult the sales catalog for all the technical and explanatory information.
