When you see this warning 
message, make sure to check the 
Don’t ask this again checkbox by 
clicking the trackpad or pressing the 
Space key. 

You know when geotagging is turned on if 

you see the white plus sign with circle 
around it and the three waves to the right 

of it in the lower right of your camera 

screen. 

 

When geotagging is turned on, but your 

BlackBerry does not have a GPS signal to 

tag the pictures, you will see a red plus 
sign with circle around it and a red X in the 

lower right corner.  

 

Managing Picture Storage 

The authors strongly recommend buying a MicroSD media card for use in your 

BlackBerry. Prices are under US$20 for a 2GB card, which is very low compared to the 

price of your BlackBerry. For more information on inserting the media card, please see 
page 359. See below for help on storing pictures on the media card. 

If you do not have a media card, then you will want to carefully manage the amount of 

your BlackBerry’s main device memory that is used for pictures.  

Selecting Where Pictures Are Stored 

The default setting is for the BlackBerry to store pictures in Device Memory, but if you 

have a Media Card inserted, we recommend selecting that instead.
