TROUBLESHOOTING
The controller is a quality product and is designed and made to withstand many years of continuous use. The occurrence
of an error is often to be attributed to a fault in another component of the system rather than in the controller itself. The
following descriptions of certain errors and their causes should enable the installer and operator to avoid damage and to
restart the system as quickly and as cheaply as possible. It is obviously not possible to list all possible causes of errors.
The following is a list of the most common causes of errors, covering most error conditions. If the cause of the error is not
among those in the list, refer the problem to the controller’s retailer.
b
Danger! Risk of electric shock!
b
Only specialist personnel should open the controller and perform work inside it.
b
Disconnect the controller from the mains power supply before opening it.
MALFUNCTIONS
MALFUNCTIONS AND ERROR MESSAGES
If the controller detects a problem, the red LED flashes
and a warning symbol appears on the display. If the mal-
function resolves itself, the warning symbol becomes an
information symbol and the red LED stops flashing.
To view details of the error, press the key under the war-
ning or information symbol.
b
End users must not attempt to resolve malfunctions
in person. Always refer malfunctions to specialist
personnel!

Note for service personnel
Sensor x error
This means that there is/was a fault in the sensor, input to the controller or con-
necting cable.
Time & date
This screen appears automatically if power is disconnected for a significant time,
as the data and time must be verified and set again if necessary.
Temperature < 50
The temperature measured by sensor S4 has dropped below 50 °C. This means
that the temperature of the primary circuit is too low and it may be impossible to
deliver sufficient hot water.
Temperature > 80
The temperature measured by sensor S4 has exceeded 80 °C. This means that
the temperature of the primary circuit is too high and could lead to the formation of
limescale in the heat exchanger.
