OPERATING MODE (MENU 4)
Menu “4. Operating mode” allows selection of the desired
mode of operation: automatic, off, or manual. Press “esc”
or select “Exit operating mode” to exit the menu.
Automatic (menu 4.1)
b
Automatic is the normal operating mode of the
controller. Only automatic mode guarantees cor-
rect operation of the system, taking account of the
current temperatures and the selected parameter
settings! When restarted following a mains power
failure, the controller will revert automatically to the
operating mode last selected!
Manual (menu 4.2)
When “Manual" mode is activated, current temperatures and parameter settings are ignored by the controller. In this
situation, the system is liable to overheat and suffer serious damage. “Manual” operating mode must be used only by an
expert for conducting functional tests of short duration, or when setting up the controller! Relays and the components
connected to them are switched on or off by pressing a key, regardless of current temperatures and parameter settings.
Measured temperatures are also displayed on the screen, for monitoring and control purposes. The 0-10 V pump output
corresponds to “Relay 6” even though it is actually connected to the Z terminal.
Off (menu 4.3)
b
Selecting “Off” mode, all functions of the controller will be deactivated. Selecting “Off” mode could cause system
components to overheat. The measured temperatures are still displayed to provide an overview.
SETTINGS (MENU 5)
The parameters essential to normal operation of the con-
troller are presented in menu 5. “Settings”.
Press “esc” or select “Exit settings” to exit the menu.
Tsetpoint (Menu 5.1)
= Setpoint at sensor 5
The controller attempts to maintain a constant circulation
temperature at sensor 5 by controlling primary circuit
pump speed.
Setting range: 30 °C to 47 °C / Default: see table.
Tmax (Menu 5.2)
= Maximum temperature at sensor 5
This is the maximum temperature permissible at sensor
5. If Tmax is exceeded, the pump is switched off. If the
temperature drops below Tmax again, the pump is switched back on.
Setting range: 60 °C to 75°C / Default: see table.
b
Temperature settings that are too high could cause scalding or damage to the system. Scalding protection must be
provided by the customer!
Primary flow Min. (Menu 5.3)
The temperature setpoint for the mixer valve when the flow rate is at its minimum.
Setting range: 40 °C to 59 °C / Default: see table.
Primary flow Max. (Menu 5.4)
The temperature setpoint for the mixer valve when the flow rate is at its maximum.
Setting range: 49 °C to 99 °C / Default:
Cold water (Menu 5.5)
Cold water inlet temperature
The temperature of the domestic water supply fed into the system can be set here. This value is used to calculate heat
output.
Setting range: 0 °C to 60 °C / Default: see table.
VFS type (Menu 5.6)
= Sets the type of vortex flow sensor used
This parameter sets the type of vortex flow sensor used.
Setting range: 1-12 l/min, 1-20 l/min, 2-40 l/min, 5-100 l/min, 10-200 l/min, 20-400 l/min / Default: see table.
Comfort (Menu 5.7)
With this function selected, hot water is pumped through the heat exchanger every 15 minutes to keep it hot.
