Setting range: On, Off / Default: see table.
Circulation (Menu 5.8)
This parameter selects the circulation operating mode.
When “Request” mode is active, the circulation pump is switched on when hot water is drawn off.
In “Periods” mode the circulation pump is enabled to run only during set periods.
Setting range: Off, Request, Periods / Default: see table.
Purging time (Menu 5.9)
= Circulation pump operation time
The circulation pump is switched off after this period of time even if the temperature setpoint for sensor 2 has not been
reached. This prevents the pump running unnecessarily, e.g. when the storage tank is too cold.
Setting range: 1 min to 180 mins / Default: see table.
Circulation pause time (Menu 5.10)
= Circulation pump switching pause
To avoid the pump switching on and off frequently, this parameter sets a pause during which the pump cannot be swi-
tched on again after being switched off.
Setting range: 1 min to 20 mins / Default: see table.
Circ. Tmin. (Menu 5.11)
= Minimum temperature at sensor S2
If circulation is enabled (see “Circulation period) and temperature drops below Circ.Tmin at sensor 2, or if a heat request
is received as a result of water being drawn off, the circulation pump is switched on.
Setting range: 10 °C to 90 °C / Default: see table.
Circulation hysteresis (Menu 5.12)
= Circulation pump switching hysteresis
The circulation pump is only switched off if temperature exceeds TminS2 by this value (see “Circ. Tmin.”).
Setting range: 1 K to 20 K / Default: see table.
Circ. max. FR (Menu 5.13)
If the circulation flow rate exceeds this value, the circulation pump is switched off.
Setting range: 1 l/min to 100 l/min / Default: see table.
Circulation period (Menu 5.14)
= Period during which the circulation pump is enabled
This function sets the time bands during which the circulation pump is enabled. Three separate time bands can be set
for each day of the week. Bands can be copied from one day to another.
Setting range: Off / 00:00 to 23:59 h / Default: see table.
b
Parameter 5.14 is only available if “Periods” mode is selected.
b
Circulation is disabled outside these time bands. The time settings are only used in “Periods” circulation mode.
b
The primary and circulation temperatures must be set bearing in mind the influence of one on the other.
SPECIAL FUNCTIONS (MENU 6)
Menu “6. Special functions” is used to set basic values.
b
With the exception of the clock, all settings must be entrusted solely to expert service technicians.
Press “esc” or select “Exit special functions” to exit the menu.
Time & date (Menu 6.1)
This function is used to set the current time and date.
b
To run analyses on system data, time must be set correctly in the controller. The clock will stop and must be reset if
power to the controller is cut off for more than about 24 hours. With the exception of the clock, all settings must be
entrusted solely to expert service technicians.
Sensor calibration (Menus 6.2.1 - 6.2.2 - 6.2.3 - 6.2.4 - 6.2.5 - 6.2.6)
Deviations of displayed temperatures with respect to actual temperatures, for example as a result of over-long cables or
badly positioned sensors, can be compensated manually in these parameters. Adjustments can be made for all sensors
in steps of 0.5°C °C.
Setting range for calibration of S1, S2, S3, S4, S5 and S6: -100°C to +100°C / Default: see table.
Setup wizard (Menu 6.3)
The setup wizard guides the user through the settings needed to render the system operational and provides a brief
description of each parameter displayed.
Pressing “esc” once, the screen returns to the previous value, so that it is always possible to go back or make changes.
Press “esc” repeatedly to return to the selection mode and exit the wizard.
b
The setup wizard should only be used by an expert service technician during the start-up procedure! Follow the
