Annex Manager User Guide

Chapter 12 Editing Modem Definitions

Part 2 Setup Mode

Using Push Buttons

The

Edit Modem

window uses the

, and

push

buttons. The

Edit Modem

window also uses the

push button for

Annexes with asynchronous ports:

deletes modems defined in the Annex

configuration file. When you click

, Annex

Manager removes the modem name and definition from the
list in the

Async Port

window. When you click

in the

Edit Async Port

window, Annex Manager deletes the modem

definition from the Annex configuration file.

Creating and Changing Modem Definitions

The

Edit Modem

window allows you to change existing modem definitions,

create new ones, and remove definitions from the Annex configuration
file.

Changing Definitions for Annexes with
Asynchronous Ports

To edit or create a new definition for Annexes with asynchronous ports:

From the

Async Ports

window click

Edit Port

to display the

Edit

Async Ports

window and choose the appropriate settings in the

Port Options

box.

In the

Modem

box field

choose the modem whose definition you

want to edit, or choose

to create a new definition

from default values and click

The

Edit Modem

window (see

Figure 12-1 on page 12-1

)appears

with current values for the modem you selected.
