If desired, the

field can be bypassed by using the

entering the

value first. The pump then calculates the Dose.

Volume to be infused
field (Figure
4-55).
The
Volume to be infused
field defaults to the Diluent Volume.
The Volume to be infused may be less than the Diluent Volume, but
cannot be greater than the Diluent Volume.

If appropriate, change the
Volume to be infused
value.

Concentration
Too High
The pump calculates the concentration as diluent vol-
ume is entered. In Figure 4-54, the concentration is too
high because the pump is calculating as the numbers
are being entered. This

condition is cleared after
the rest of the digits are entered and the pump recalcu-
lates the concentration.
