Inspect battery hold-down hardware.

Inspect batteries and cables.

Remove any corrosion from battery terminals.

Ensure all ground connections are clean and tight.

Engine

Compartment

Check for all fluid levels and check for leaks.

Inspect all hoses for damage and correct routing.

Inspect cooling system.

Check grille and behind for clear airflow.

Inspect CAC expansion bushings for wear or damage.

Inspect fan blade and shroud.

Check fan clutch.

Listen for leaks at the solenoid valve, filter assembly and in

the air hoses and fittings. Repair as required

Check the fan drive for discoloration or any other signs of

slipping or overheating

Check the fan drive bearing

Check the fan drive friction facing

Check the electrical wiring

Check the fan drive for proper engagement and

disengagement

Check two-speed fan clutch mechanism, if equipped

Test coolant concentration.

Pressure test pressure cap.

Test block heater, if equipped.

Install new coolant filter, if equipped.

Refer to engine manufacturer’s service

intervals.

Drain and refill coolant system.

Refer to engine manufacturer’s service

intervals.

Intake air piping:

Check connections and mounting.

Check air filter, housing, and air restriction gauge.

Check inside of pipes and charge air cooler for buildup of

foreign material.

Replace air filter.

Starter:

Check for secure mounting.

Check cable routing and connections.

Check transmission mounts and fastener torque.

Check exhaust system for leaks and secure mounting.

Add any attaching hardware necessary and correct or

repair any source of exhaust gas leakage.

Check the DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) System

Inspect the DEF tank filter.

Replace the DEF tank Filter

Replace the DEF dosing unit filter
