Preventive Maintenance

Post Road Test Inspection

(150 Hours)

Major Components

• Check all major components for fluid leaks.

Engine, transmission, cooling system, fuel

system, power steering system, and rear

axles

Record Keeping

• Check and record the date of the last

inspection and inspection interval every 150

hours.

• Complete inspection form and apply new

sticker.

INSPECTION 300 HRS INTERVAL

Perform this inspection every 300 hours of

operation (maximum recommended interval).

NOTICE

This inspection includes everything done

during the 150 hour inspection, PLUS

additional items requiring inspection at

this interval.

Major vehicle components such as engine,

transmission and axles may have their

own Preventive Maintenance Inspection

procedures, and Autocar recommends

reviewing each component’s documentation for

its recommended maintenance schedule.
While conducting these inspections record

the results using the Preventive Maintenance

Inspection form available from Autocar.

Walk-Around Inspection (300 Hours)

Wheels and Tires

• Check dual matching

Air Filter

Replace the air filter element every 300 hours

or when the restriction indicator reaches 25 in.

WC, whichever comes first.

• If the tractor is not equipped with an air

restriction gauge on the intake piping, check

for restriction by running the engine at

maximum rated speed. If the air restriction

indicator light comes on, the air filter should

be replaced.

• When installing a new air filter, clean the

filter housing thoroughly and install a new

gasket or seal. Record the installation date

on the air cleaner cover with a grease

pencil.

Fuel System

Fuel Filter

• Replace fuel filter (Figure 34). Fill new

filter(s) with clean fuel prior to installation

to reduce air in fuel system (refer to

manufacturers’ documentation for

procedure).
