4.6.5.3 Adjusting Preload Tension
To adjust the preload tension:
1. If you have not already done so, remove the micro-adjustment cap from the film coater. See
2. Use the spanner wrench supplied with the film coater to remove the locking nut. Loosen the
preload screw.
3. Tighten the preload screw until you feel light contact between the preload screw and the flat
washer.
4. Continue tightening the screw the required number of turns.
5. Reinstall the locking nut. See Figure 4-12.
6. Use the spanner wrench to turn the locking nut to lock the preload screw into place.
7. Reinstall and calibrate the micro-adjustment cap. See
4.6.10 Resetting the Micro-Adjustment
